Pallet Truck Parts - Pallet stackers are a style of pallet jack that may be utilized to stack, transfer and lift goods placed on a pallet that are far too tedious for physical lifting. Primarily these mechanisms are utilized to load and unload freight from trucks and to transport pallets from one location to another within a stockroom of stockroom space. For the most part pallet jacks are manufactured of heavy duty materials to withstand extreme weights. Pallet stackers are often referred to as pallet jacks. They can be operated from a seated, upright or walk-behind position. Pallet stackers are divided into manual and powered varieties.

Pallet stackers are normally comprised of a pair of forks that are capable of sliding underneath a pallet, capable of raising to a preferred height or transporting it to a specific location. The motor compartment or casing houses the gas-run, electronic or hydraulic apparatus that powers the appliance.

Manual pallet jacks are hand-powered. They run hydraulically to make lifting heavy pallets an easier task. Typically a walk-behind version meaning they are utilized by pulling and pushing the jack to its preferred location. Using a foot pedal or lever raises the stacker's forks. Squeezing a handle or trigger returns the forks to the floor. These types of pallet stackers are perfect for lighter loads of up to approximately 1 ton or 907.18 kg.

Most stackers can accommodate the lifting of extreme weights to around 5 tons with either the gas or electric versions. They are physically less demanding to maneuver than the manual models due to the hydraulic power that lifts and lowers the forks. These styles are steered by rotating the handle in a specific direction. There is a button on the handle that operates to lift and lower the forks. A throttle set up on the stacker's grips moves the device forward and in reverse. This style of equipment is generally known as a lift truck and is used from a sit-down position.

As the fork width, weight limit and lift height fluctuate dramatically between individual styles, selecting the right pallet stacker to fit the activity is essential. Some stacker's lift peak may allow several pallets to be stacked, while others might only permit two at a time. Certain models of these forklifts feature an adaptable fork in order to allow the jack to slide underneath pallets of unusual sizes and shapes. Various fork models might be quite effective when different varieties of pallets are being utilized in the same warehouse.
