Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was founded in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943. They began as a small machine shop in the beginning hiring four people. Sales for their first year of operation totaled $60,000. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and other components. Within five years of operation, the company had stretched to 40 workers and their annual sales volume had increased to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. These days, Cascade is one of the leading worldwide manufacturers within the material handling business.
Manufacture and design of the company's initial hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive pursuit of new business opportunities. Over the past 60 years, the material handling business has matured into a very sophisticated field and Cascade has proudly played a part in this development. Cascade at the moment continues to grow as the leader supplier of lift truck attachments and different associated items. The company feels confident in their skill in order to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding customer's needs in the future and remaining aggressive in the global market.
In the 1950's, Cascade started designing, fabricating and selling hydraulic accessories. Construction was completed in the year 1956 on a new facility in order to accommodate all of the plant and office operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's present center of operations. Following fifteen years of business, total workers reached a hundred and eighty staff and sales had reached practically 2.3 million dollars.
In the year 1959 in Springfield, Ohio the next production facility was built. nineteen sixty marked Cascade's preliminary transfer into the international world of the material handling industry when the company recognized interest in Australia, the Netherlands and England.
In the year 1964, the company changed its name to the Cascade Corporation. After that in the year 1965, the business went public with an initial offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. Ever since then the business has expanded its manufacturing amenities within the continental US to the places Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already current plants in Springfield, Ohio and Portland, Oregon. Cascade merchandise are manufactured globally due to many subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a brand new facility was accomplished in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European control center. This plant is built to be the essential customer support centre.
